ABOUT US

OHOWA

WHO We are?

One Heart One World Association (OHOWA) is a humanitarian non-profit organization working in Somaliland and Somalia to support vulnerable communities, especially children suffering from congenital and rheumatic heart diseases, women, internally displaced families, orphans, and people living in poverty. The major drivers of vulnerability include climate change, conflict, poverty, limited access to healthcare, and political instability, which continue to contribute to humanitarian crises, malnutrition, displacement, unemployment, and inadequate medical services.

OHOWA is committed to improving access to healthcare, humanitarian assistance, awareness, and community development initiatives for underserved populations. The organization works closely with local communities, volunteers, healthcare professionals, and international partners to ensure sustainable and community-centered interventions.

The organization’s headquarters is based in Hargeisa, where the main office oversees overall management and operational functions, including planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs. OHOWA is led by a Board of Directors responsible for governance, strategic planning, policy development, fundraising, and organizational oversight. The Executive Director manages the day-to-day operations and implementation of the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.

OHOWA is dedicated to promoting equal access to healthcare and humanitarian support for all people regardless of age, gender, or disability status, while advocating for children’s rights, community empowerment, and inclusive development.
