Cash Intervention
OHOWA implemented cash intervention programs to support vulnerable families facing extreme financial hardship, medical emergencies, displacement, and food insecurity. The cash assistance enabled struggling households to meet their immediate basic needs with dignity and flexibility according to their priorities.
The organization provided targeted financial support to vulnerable groups including families with critically ill children, internally displaced persons, widows, orphan caregivers, and low-income households affected by humanitarian crises. Beneficiaries used the assistance to purchase food, medicine, transportation, shelter support, and other essential household needs.
Additionally, OHOWA provided cash assistance to 200 vulnerable households to support families in purchasing clothes for their children. This intervention aimed to restore dignity, improve child well-being, and assist low-income families struggling to meet basic household needs. The support particularly benefited orphaned children, internally displaced families, and households affected by poverty and humanitarian challenges. Through this initiative, many children were able to access proper clothing and experience a sense of care, inclusion, and hope within their communities.
Cash interventions played a critical role in reducing negative coping mechanisms, protecting vulnerable families from further economic distress, and improving access to healthcare and essential services. OHOWA ensured transparency and accountability during beneficiary selection and distribution processes through community engagement and proper monitoring systems.
